Deblyns Poodles carefully evaluates potential sires and dams, ensuring they possess desirable traits that adhere to the breed standards. Extensive health screenings are conducted to assess genetic health, minimizing the risk of hereditary conditions being passed down to the puppies. By choosing parents with sound temperaments, intelligence, and a loving disposition, Deblyns Poodles aims to produce puppies that are not only visually stunning but also wonderful companions. The thoughtful selection process contributes to the development of puppies with the potential to excel in various activities such as obedience, agility, conformation, and service work. Deblyns Poodles commitment to breeding responsibly and with a focus on the breed betterment sets us apart, ensuring that our puppies have the best possible start in life.  Deblyns Poodles puppies are priced between $1,800-$3000.

Below we will cover all the details of our puppy program, from puppy care,  the reservation process, the selection process, cost, and pickup/transportation in greater detail.

Puppy Care Begins with Mother Care

Puppy Care Begins with Mother Care

Deblyns Poodles understands that the care provided to the dam is of utmost importance before, during, and after whelping. Prior to giving birth, the mother receives specialized attention to ensure her health and well-being. Regular veterinary check-ups, and prenatal care, help monitor her condition and address any potential issues. Adequate nutrition is prioritized, with a carefully tailored diet that supports the dam’s changing needs throughout her pregnancy.

During the whelping process, the dam is closely monitored by an experienced breeder to provide support and assistance if necessary. A quiet and comfortable birthing area is prepared, promoting a stress-free environment for the mother and her puppies. Skilled professionals are present to ensure the safety of both the dam and her offspring.

After whelping, the dam continues to receive exceptional care. She is provided with a clean and quiet area where she can bond with her puppies, allowing for peaceful nursing and nurturing. Proper care, including regular check-ups and vaccinations, helps the dam regain her strength and ensures her overall health.

Deblyns Poodles recognizes the physical and emotional demands placed on the dam during this period. As such, we provide ample rest and relaxation for the mother, allowing her to recuperate and bond with her puppies without unnecessary stress. At Deblyns Poodles we are  always available to ensure the the dam receives the care she needs to thrive.

The ongoing care of the mother extends beyond the whelping process. Deblyns Poodles maintains a nurturing environment for the dam as she continues to raise her puppies. Adequate nutrition, exercise, and mental stimulation are provided to ensure the mother’s physical and mental well-being. Regular veterinary check-ups and health screenings are conducted to monitor her overall health and address any concerns promptly.

Deblyns Poodles understands that a healthy and happy mother is vital to the successful upbringing of her puppies. By prioritizing the ongoing care of the dam, we ensure that each puppy is raised in an environment where their mother’s well-being is paramount, leading to the development of healthy, well-rounded, and socially adjusted puppies.

Puppy Care

Puppy Care

Deblyns Poodles is renowned for their exceptional care and love for puppies. At Deblyns Poodles, the well-being of each puppy is our top priority. From the moment a litter is born, they receive round-the-clock attention and nurturing. Puppies are raised in a warm and comfortable home environment, ensuring their optimal growth and development. They are provided with a clean and spacious living area, complete with soft bedding, toys, and stimulating activities to encourage their mental and physical growth. A nutritious and balanced diet is carefully crafted to meet the needs of each puppy, promoting their overall health. Puppies begin potty training at three to four weeks of age. The puppies’ area is kept very clean to encourage continued proper use of the litter area.

Regular veterinary check-ups, vaccinations, and deworming protocols are strictly followed to ensure the puppies’ well-being. Moreover, Deblyns Poodles emphasizes socialization, introducing the puppies to various stimuli, experiences, and gentle human interaction from an early age. This helps them develop into confident, well-adjusted, and balanced, sociable companions. With our unwavering commitment to excellence in care, Deblyns Poodles ensures that each puppy finds a loving and nurturing home.

Neonatal Daily Care

Neonatal Daily Care

At Deblyns Poodles, comprehensive care for the puppies starts early on, even before they can see or hear.  At around three days old, certain procedures are carried out to promote their health and well-being. This includes the careful and professional docking of their tails and the removal of dewclaws. These procedures are conducted with utmost care and precision to ensure the comfort and safety of the puppies.

Additionally, starting from day three, the puppies at Deblyns Poodles benefit from Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI). These practices are designed to provide positive early experiences and stimulation for the puppies. ENS involves a series of gentle exercises that promote neurological development and enhanced stress tolerance, helping them become more resilient and adaptable throughout their lives. ESI introduces our puppies to various scents, preparing them for future training and enriching their sensory experiences.

Vaccinations, Worming, Microchip

Vaccinations, Worming, Microchip

Puppies receive a Neopar vaccine at four weeks of age.  This vaccine does not interfere with the mother’s antibodies and provides strong and early protection from this very deadly virus. They receive a five-way puppy shot (DAPPv) at six weeks.

Puppies are wormed at two weeks and four weeks with Pyrantel Pamoate and six weeks with fenbendazole.

Puppies receive AKC Reunite microchips at seven weeks.  These microchips are registered to new owners, before Go Home Day.

Advanced Puppy Curriculum

Advanced Puppy Curriculum

In line with our commitment to providing the best care and development for  our puppies, Deblyns Poodles utilizes an advanced therapy puppy curriculum designed by Empowered Breeder. You may read further on this curriculum at Badassbreeder.com. This comprehensive program focuses on early socialization, enrichment, and positive reinforcement techniques. It includes various activities, exercises, and age-appropriate challenges that contribute to the puppies’ mental and physical development, setting a solid foundation for their future.  This program is unique in that it focuses on puppy developmental milestones and presents new things when the puppy is ready and able to learn.  It is also a program that respects the puppy and allows the puppy a voice in his future placement. Puppies are encouraged rather than enabled to push forward.  It takes great courage and resilience to meet challenges and we provide cheerleading and encouragement to these precious youngsters.

By implementing these practices and following the carefully designed curriculum, Deblyns Poodles ensures that our puppies receive the highest quality care from the earliest stages of their lives. This holistic approach promotes their overall well-being, temperament, and prepares them to thrive in their future homes. And you get to see it all, because we video,  photograph, and post almost daily to Instagram, Facebook, and/or Youtube, so that you know what is going on in the life of your new family member each day.

Temperament Testing

 Temperament Testing

In addition to providing exceptional care and early development, Deblyns Poodles goes the extras mile to assess the temperament of their puppies. Around seven weeks of age, they engage in temperament testing using the Empowered Breeder temperament testing protocols. This testing process involves a series of standardized assessments that evaluate various aspects of each puppy’s personality, behavior, and social tendencies.

By employing the Empowered Breeder temperament testing, Deblyns Poodles gains valuable insights into the unique characteristics and potential of each puppy. The tests help identify individual strengths, such as confidence, trainability, sociability, and adaptability, as well as potential areas for further focus or support. This valuable information guides the selection process, allowing Deblyns Poodles to help match each puppy with the most suitable and compatible families.

The Empowered Breeder temperament testing ensures that the puppies at Deblyns Poodles are not only visually and genetically exceptional, but also possess temperaments that align with the breed’s standard and the desires of potential owners. This thorough evaluation process helps in placing each puppy in an environment where they can thrive and develop their full potential as cherished well-loved and respected companions.

By combining top-quality care, early development practices, and Empowered Breeder temperament testing, Deblyns Poodles sets a high standard for ensuring the well-being, temperament, and long-term happiness of their puppies and the families they join.
