Standard Poodles-Oh What a Joy!
As a dog enthusiast, I experienced the thrill of showing a remarkable rough collie to his championship title in 1985, overcoming challenges and celebrating victories along the way. With dedication and perseverance, we formed an unbreakable bond, showcasing our teamwork in the show ring. Together, always owner-handled, we conquered the competition, achieving remarkable success and securing a spot in 1987 as the #9 top-winning collie in the nation (Hawkins System). However, future circumstances had something extraordinary in store for me as I stumbled upon the captivating world of the Standard Poodle. Intrigued by their elegance, intelligence, and undeniable charm, I embarked on a new chapter, discovering the joys of living with and initially showing, yet forever loving, these incredible Poodles, broadening my horizons as a dog enthusiast. The journey continues, fueled by passion, love for the sport, and a deep appreciation for the beauty and grace of these exceptional canine companions.
Throughout my journey, I have encountered moments of profound loss and heartbreak, particularly during my early experiences as a dog enthusiast. Despite these life-altering challenges, there was an undeniable connection that the Standard Poodle breed had forged within my being. Their unwavering loyalty and captivating personalities touched me deeply, fueling a passion that would not wane. Since retiring from my career in the criminal justice field, I have found great peace and joy in breeding and raising Standard Poodles, surrounding myself with these magnificent creatures. They have become integral to my life, bringing immeasurable happiness and a renewed sense of purpose. I enjoy sharing my joy by giving back to the community and donating to assist the youth sports league.
Through all the highs and lows, one thing remains certain… I will never be without the Standard Poodle by my side, for they have become not just show and sport dogs but beloved companions and cherished members of my family.
